Chicken’s Foot

Dried Chicken Feet are used in the practice of Hoodoo, as well as other magical traditions, for protection and for enemy work. The feet are believed to be powerful protection against evil doers and are believed to work by magically “scratching” one’s enemy. Many practitioners will use a chicken foot as part of an anti-theft spell which is usually hung in the open, such as from a rear-view mirror or above a door. In such use the foot represents the threat of magical retaliation. In a nutshell, a chicken foot is a non-verbal means of communication by which a warning is sent to any would-be-thief that if they steal then they will be magically “f*cked up”.
